Last year, he broke his maiden at Canterbury then was 6th in an optional claimer at Remington. Won an optional claimer at Oaklawn for his 2009 debut then followed up with a 56-1 upset in the Rebel Stakes, beating odds-on favorite Old Fashioned by 2 1/4 lengths. Since winning the Rebel, his owners turned down a $3 million offer to buy him. Rallied to finish 4th in the Arkansas Derby, beaten 3 1/4 lengths for his final prep. Found a line in an x-ray of his left front ankle after he galloped on Wed. morning before the entries were taken. Not career ending, but he will be out for a while to heal.
