Broke his maiden on his 4th attempt, at Monmouth on September 5. Followed that up with wins in the Garden State Stakes on October 2 and the Delta Jackpot (G3) on November 19. In his 2012 debut he disappointed in 8th beaten 6 1/4 lengths in the Rebel (G2) at Oaklawn. Rallied in the stretch to finish 3rd in the Arkansas Derby, missing 2nd by just a neck.
