After winning his debut at Philadelphia, he disappointd in 7th in an allowance at Delaware. He then won an allowance at Churchill in November following that effort up with a 2 1/4 length win in the Smarty Jones Stakes at Oaklawn on January 18. He then finished a disappointing 9th in the Southwest Stakes (G3) on February 20. Off the trail and out 3-4 months due to a stress fracture in his left knee.
