Jockey Garrett Gomez said, "It wasn't like she ran a bad race or anything. When we turned for home, I thought we were going to win but, the other filly ran us down. I think this was the first time going a mile, and she'll benefit from it. I really got her slowed down at the 4 1/2 furlongs and got a good breather in her and turning for home she really kicked in."

Trainer Rick Violette Jr. added, "She ran hard. She might have won her other races so easily that this was the first time she really had to run hard to the wire. And she came up a little bit short. This was also the first time she went a mile. Still, this was a huge, fast race, especially when the older males went 1:22 for 7f. We finished second best. We were left alone for the first 1/2 and Garrett had a lot of horse coming into the lane. She responded well until late, when a nice filly got her."
