I don't know about anyone else, but this is the image that I will always have in my mind from this year's Preakness. Jockey Javier Castellano aboard Bernardini celebrating his Preakness win, as Barbaro is taken off the track in the equine ambulance. Castellano said, "That's what I worried about the race all the way. I didn't see (Barbaro) coming out. Something happened. I'm really excited for me and for my group to win the Preakness, but at the same time I see the horse right in the middle of the track and everybody trying to help him. It was really, really sad." John Ferguson added, "Racing is a very small world and the Jacksons, Michael Matz and his team, they're all good friends of ours. We all work together, we're all in the same business, and we know how it feels because it's happened to all of us before. It really hurts and I just hope and pray the horse is okay. I just hope he can be saved and be a fantastic stallion in the future because that's no more than the Jacksons and Michael Matz and everybody deserves."
