On Monday morning at Nad al Sheba Racecourse in Dubai, horses pre-entered for the Dubai World Cup card were out on the track for maintenance gallops and timed works. Conditions were ideal with the sun out and temperatures in the low 90's.
Curlin, winner of the Breeders' Cup Classic and U.S. Horse of the Year, worked a 1/2 mile in 50.16 and galloped out 5/8 in 1:06.18 with exercise rider Carlos Rosas aboard. Scott Blasi, assistant to trainer Steve Asmussen said the workout was "perfect. He's physically ready to do what we are going to ask him to do on Saturday."
