The $400,000 Vosburgh Stakes (G1) featured the Sprint division, with five hopefuls going 6 furlongs on the main track. Kings Bishop winner Henny Hughes was sent off as the even-money favorite over 7-5 Silver Train, last year's Breeders' Cup Sprint winner who comes into the race off a 2 race winning streak including the Tom Fool last out.

20-1 outsider Attila's Storm went to the front through a quarter in 22.34 but he was stalked by Henny Hughes to his outside. Entering the lane, Henny Hughes took over the lead, but Attila's Storm fought on. Inside the 1/8 pole, Henny Hughes shook him off and drew off to a 2 3/4-length win over War Front in 1:08.13. It was just 1/2 a length back to pacesetter Attila's Storm in third.
