Emma-Jayne Wilson is the first female jockey to win the Queen's Plate in its 148 year history. While being interviewed on television as Mike Fox galloped back to the winner's circle, she said of this accomplishment, "Been there, bought the T-shirt, said and done!"

Interestingly, one year ago Josie Carroll became the first female trainer to win the Queen's Plate, and then just 2 weeks ago, filly Rags to Riches defeated males in the Belmont Stakes, the first filly to win that classic since Tanya in 1905. On Sunday, Wilson notched yet another win for the "distaff" side.
