Second place finisher Perfect Drift in the paddock. Trainer Murray Johnson said, "If he had
my nose, we would have won. We can't win them all, but we thought we had that
one. He's as good as ever. He just eased up a little bit at the wrong time."
Jockey Mark Guidry added, "I thought we had it won. He pulled up a little bit,
he was getting a little bit bored. He didn't (see Seek Gold coming). He was
waiting for something to come to him. Murray had him perfect. He had a great
trip. He ran his eyeballs out as always. He was just a little bit short He's
a grinder. He's a fighter. We came knocking. He's going to be there every
time. So, hopefully, we can fight another day, and everything will be all
right."
