The $500,000 Woodbine Oaks Presented by Budweiser is the most important race for Canadian-bred 3-year-old fillies, and is the first leg of thr Canadian Triple Tiara, followd by the Bison City and the Wonder Where. Bob Baffert trainee Wynning Ride shipped in from California as the 2-1 favorite in the field of 13, exiting two straight runner-up finishe, in the Hollywood Starlet and then an allowwance race. La Lorgnette runner-up Tasty Temptation was the 3-1 second choice over 9-2 Milwaukee Appeal, who won the Star Shoot before finishing third in the La Lorgnette.

Jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson sent Koonunga Hill to the lead first time past the finish post to set a slow pace of 23.73, 48.01, and 1:13.12 over the fast Polytrack while jockey Stewart Elliott settled Milwaukee Appear 2 1/2 lengths behind her. At the top of the lane, Koonunga Hill tired to eventually finish 12th, while Tasty Temptation, who was back in 11th early, was sent to the front to challenge Milwaukee Appeal, heading her at the 1/4 pole. However, Milwaukee Appeal was up to the challenge, kicking clear through the final 3/16 mile to win going away by 3 3/4 lengths in a time of 1:49.84. It was a long 5 1/2 lengths back to 7-1 Miss Blakely who held off late-running favorite Wynning Ride by a nose for third.
