The $250,000 CompUSA Dixie Stakes (G2) for older horses at 1 1/8 miles on the turf went according to plan for trainer Graham Motion, as his pacesetter Shake The Bank took the lead right away and softened up 1-2 favorite Artie Schiller, allowing stablemate Better Talk Now to rally from last to get up by a head in a blanket finish, in a time of 1:48.48. The winning pair was coupled in the wagering as the 7-2 second choice. Motion said afterwards, "ommy (Turner, the rider of rabbit Shake the Bank) did a great job. He stumbled out of the gate. What a job he did to compensate. I told him to go a half in 47 (seconds) and he went in 48 (seconds). They both ran great races. (Better Talk Now) is so honest. I mean, what more can I say about him. It amazes me he went off at 7-2. This isnt his distance, dont forget. I felt about as confident today as Ive felt for a while."
