Three-year-old fillies targetting the Kentucky Oaks use the $150,000 Davona Dale Stakes (G2) as their local prep. Wait a While, the 7-2 third choice, stalked the pace of Stolen Prayer down the backstretch, then made her move on the turn and seized the lead with 1/4 mile to go. She accelerated through the lane to demolish the field by 14 lengths in a time of 1:50.27 for the 1 1/8 miles. Three fillies photo-finished for second place.

Winning jockey John Velazquez said, "I didn’t think she was ever going to get into the gate, but once I got off of her, she went right in. After that, all I was worried about was getting a good position. She broke fine, and when I got her in position, everything went great." Wait a While will start next in the March 5 Bonnie Miss Stakes according to trainer Todd Pletcher.
