Owners Roy and Gretchen Jackson announced on the one-year anniversary of his death, that 2006 Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro's ashes will be buried at a special monument to be built outside Gate 1 at Churchill Downs. A life-size bronze statue will be unveiled at the site in 2009.
