Winner of the Tropical Park Derby and 2nd in the Toyota Blue Grass at Keeneland last year. In 2009 he started the year winning the San Pasqual and Strub Stakes then was 8th in the Santa Anita Handicap. After that he switched to the turf and was 2nd in the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic at Churchill, 9th in the Woodford Reserve Manhattan at Belmont, 3rd in the Fourstardave, and 2nd in the Bernard Baruch Handicap both at Saratoga. Went out to California for his final prep and won the Oak Tree Mile going wire-to-wire.
