All about the Breeders' Cup World Championships, the biggest event of the year in Thoroughbred horse racing. Held at a different track each year in late October or early November, this is where all the best horses in the world come and annual championships are decided. In 2008 and 2009 the Breeders' Cup will be held at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA.

2008 Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita Park

In 2008, the Breeders' Cup World Championships will be held on October 24 and 25 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia California. This will be the fourth time Santa Anita has hosted the event. Last time in 2003, California-based horses dominated the dirt races while Europeans dominated the turf.

2007 Breeders' Cup at Monmouth Park

In 2007 the Breeders' Cup World Championships was held on October 26 and 27 at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, NJ, in a sea of mud. Curlin, pictured here, was the winner of the Classic - Powered by Dodge, staking his claim for year end honors.
