One of the new races introduced this year is the $1 million Grey Goose Juvenile Fillies Turf, a 1 mile turf event for 2-year-old fillies. Jessamine Stakes winner Laragh was sent off as the 5-2 favorite in the field of 12 over Miss Grillo winner Consequence at 7-2 and California Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Saucey Evening at 6-1.

Jockey Edgar Prado sent Laragh to the front immediately and was loose on the lead by as many as 2 1/2 lengths through fractions of 22.53, 45.82, and 1:10.10, while Renda sat second the whole way. Laragh continued to lead by over 2 lengths to mid-stretch, but 11-1 Maram, who sat in midpack 7th early, came three wide into the lane for room and closed well to get up by a nose over Heart Shaped in 1:35.15. It was just a length back to Laragh third.
