The big questions were whether Daylami could handle the Florida weather and what condition would the turf be in. Well, the sun and wind for 3 days prior to the race made the turf a nice solid "good" condition and the temperatures never got very high and a stiff breeze kept it very pleasant. Like the champ he is, Daylami stalked the quick pace set by last year's winner, Buck's Boy, to rally down the stretch and win by 2 1/2 lengths.
