Entries were drawn and post positions selected this Wednesday for the 66th running of the Prince of Wales Stakes, the second jewel in Canada' Triple Crown. A field of 6 horses was entered, including the winner of the Queen's Plate Dancethruthedawn from Sam-Son Farm.

Post time for the Prince of Wales Stakes is Sunday at 4:41pm ET as the tenth race on the card at Fort Erie Race Track. It will be shown live on The Score on cable in Canada as part of a broadcast of the entire card from 12:35 - 6:00pm ET. Free program and past performances are available from Equibase.

Jockey Francine Villeneuve assisted with the draw while wearing the silks of Sam-Son Farm.

Dancethruthedawn will try to repeat the performance of her mother, Dance Smartly, and her full brother, Scatter the Gold, by winning both the Queen's Plate and the Prince of Wales Stakes. She comes into this race off a win not only in the Plate but also the Woodbine Oaks, a rare feat which her mother also accomplished. Trying to stop her will be the second place finisher in the Plate, Win City, who suffered by a lack of pace and only got in gear too late to catch her at the end although he was gaining with every stride. The other major upsetter here is likely Wild Years who won a maiden special weight last out at Belmont by 22 lengths. His trainer James Bond said: "He's a very talented individual. Richard Migliore was just along for the ride in that last race. He's a nice horse, definitely a Grade 1 horse." Brushing Bully who faded to third in the Queen's Plate may find the slightly shorter distance here more to his liking, but he will have to really improve to beat the top three picks.
