Run at Arlington Park over 1 1/4 miles on the turf for 3-year-olds with a purse $400,000. Run at 1 1/16 miles in 1974; run at 1 1/8 miles in 1975-76; run at 1 1/2 miles from 1978-84. Run at Hawthorne in 1985. Not run in 1988, 1998, and 1999. Racing Star finished second in 1985, but was disqualifed and placed fourth. Taken off the turf in 1977.
This race is part of the Arlington International Festival of Racing which also includes the Arlington Million for the older horses and the Beverly D. for the fillies and mares.
