Winning jockey Seb Sanders said, "He was a bit keen early and it just took me a while to get him into his rhythm and settle him. He carried me very easily to the (quarter-pole) and it was just a case of getting past those hardened horses in front. He knuckled down and picked up really well, he's given me a terrific ride throughout. He's going to be a star sprinter for a while."
Trainer John Best added, "It means so much to the yard to have winners, and to have winners here is the ultimate. Everyone has worked so hard at home and it's so good to do it on the day. I thought 33-1 was a crazy price for him. He won the Nunthorpe last year and shouldn't have been anywhere near that price. He ran with the choke out a little bit earlier in the week. He's done a good job to come back so quickly. He's very relaxed and has done little at home since. He's been sat on once and apart from that he's been out in the field."
