He finished second in the Arkansas Derby (G1) on April 10 at Oaklawn. Won the Kentucky Derby by 2 1/2 lengths as the 8-1 second choice, then finished a disappointing 9th in the Preakness beaten 11 3/4 lengths, ending his Triple Crown hopes. He skipped the Belmont Stakes and came back in the Haskell Invitational (G1) finishing 4th, and then the Travers Stakes (G1) where he was 10th. Injured and will not run in the Breeders' Cup, but is expected to return next year.
