He broke his maiden last year at the Fair Grounds in his third lifetime start then won his first start of 2010 in an allowance there. He tried stakes company his next two starts and finished 5th in both the Risen Star and the Louisiana Derby, then shipped to Churchill Downs where he won an optional claimer on Kentucky Derby day. In the Belmont Stakes he finished 6th beaten 6 3/4 lengths.
