Last year he was 3rd in the Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland, 5th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, then won the CashCall Futurity at Hollywood. Won the Robert Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita for his 3-year-old debut. Pressed the pace then took the lead in the stretch to win the San Felipe as the favorite. Set most of the pace and held on to win by a length over Chocolate Candy in the Santa Anita Derby. He stalked the pacesetters in the Derby but couldn't keep up with Mine That Bird when he ran past, finishing 2nd by 6 3/4 lengths. 4th early in the Preakness, he tired in the far turn and faded to finish 11th.
