He won two stakes on the turf last year and closed out the season finishing 3rd in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. He made his 2010 debut in the Hallandale Beach on the turf at Gulfstream where he was 2nd by a nose, then shipped to California where he was 2nd by a half length in the San Felipe on the main track. In his final prep he finished fourth in the Blue Grass Stakes (G1) on April 10 at Keeneland but at entry time they decided not to go in the Kentucky Derby. In the Belmont Stakes he finished 7th beaten 8 lengths.
