Last year he broke his maiden at Belmont Park in his 3rd start, then was 7th in the Champagne at Belmont and 5th in the Iroquois at Churchill Downs. Won his 2009 debut in an allowance at Gulfstream Park in January, then was 4th in the Swale, 7th in the Lexington at Keeneland, and 3rd in the Peter Pan at Belmont. In the Belmont Stakes, he raced near the back of the field early but showed nothing late, finishing 7th beaten 16 3/4 lengths.
