Thought of mostly as a sprinter and set a world record for 6f on 1/26/08 in 1:06.53 and a track record at Santa Anita for 7f on 12/26/07 in 1:20.37. Won the Sunshine Millions Sprint then stretched out to run 3rd to Georgie Boy and Gayego in the San Felipe for his first route ever. Ran second all the way around, beaten 1/2 length by Colonel John, in the Santa Anita Derby for his final prep. As expected he led the Kentucky Derby field for the first 6 furlongs, but faded in the stretch to finish 16th beaten 32 lengths.
