Although he won his maiden race at Saratoga, he didn't seem to get in gear again until shipping to Tampa Bay Downs. He was 2nd to Bluegrass Cat in the Sam F. Davis then beat him in the Tampa Bay Derby. Made his final prep over the slop in the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct, but didn't run a lick and finished 6th.
