Owner Rick Porter said on Monday from his home in Delaware, "It's the bottom of the barrel. I don't know how to explain it. It's just a horrible feeling. Like any tragic thing that happens, people say that time helps it. Things are better than they were however many hours -- I've lost track of time -- but we have to get through when something horrible happens. We don't have a lot of choice. I just think it's human nature to say, 'Well, if I hadn't run her, she would have been fine back in the barn,' but sometimes you have to believe in fate. Obviously she validated the fact that she belonged in the race. That gives me some satisfaction, as far as letting her prove that she was a serious contender in the 134th Kentucky Derby."
