After two scratches because of the soft course, only four older fillies and mares went in the $285,000 Just a Game Handicap (G2). 3-5 favorite Gorella sat well off the pace of 3-1 speedster Pommes Frites through a slow pace of 48.89 for the half, but closed the gap through the home straight to just get up for the win by a neck, traveling the mile in 1:37.14.

Winning trainer Patrick Biancone said, "With only four runners, it was a little harder for us. We knew Pommes Frites would be in front. If we chased her and went too fast early carrying top weight (120 lb), that could have hurt us. She needs to see daylight as late as possible. She is the best grass filly in the country." Gorella goes next in the Beverly D at Arlington Park.
