However, through the stretch Bushfire battled back in a duel to the line to prevail by a neck in 1:35.89 for the 1 mile trip over the fast main track. It was 1 3/4 lengths back to 15-1 Last Romance in third, while 8-5 favorite Adieu failed to fire and disappointed in fourth. Miraculous Miss reared up in the gate, kicking Wonder Lady Anne L in the adjacent stall, resulting in both fillies being scratched late.
