A field of five 3-year-old fillies contested the $100,000 Miss Preakness Stakes (G3), a 6 furlong main track sprint. Jockey Garrett Gomez sent 9-10 favorite Heart Ashley to the lead down the backstretch getting fractions of 22.66 and 44.86. She opened up a 4 length advantage at the 1/4 pole, with Cinderella's Wish closing. However, Heart Ashley held her off by a head in the final 1/16 to get the win in 1:10.79.
