The $200,000-added Churchill Downs Handicap (G2) is a 7-furlong sprint for
4-year-olds and up. 10-1 shot Trickey Trevor settled in third down the
backstretch just off the fast pace of 5-2 favorite Battle Won and 7-1 With
Distinction, then when Battle Won faded, jockey Russell Baze took Trickey
Trevor wide and past the pacesetters to win going away by 3 lengths at the
line, in a time of 1:21.68. Favorite Battle Won finished a disappointing
fifth.
