Only six 3-year-olds went to post in the $100,000 Crown Royal American Turf (G3), a 1 1/16 mile trip around the Matt Winn Turf Course. 7-5 favorite Go Between had stalked the early pace of Gaelic Storm and looked to be home free in mid-stretch when he took over. But 4-1 fourth choice Stream Cat was just finding his best stride under jockey Julien Leparoux, and under a left-handed whip, closed with a fury and wore down the favorite in the last 50 yards to prevail, completing the distance in 1:42.47 over the firm turf course.
