12-1 Fiery Pursuit, the longest shot on the board in the $300,000 Louisville Breeders' Cup (G2) for older fillies and mares, led every step of the way, holding off the late charge of 5-2 second choice Asi Siempre in the final strides to get the victory in a time of 1:44.11 for 1 1/16 miles over a sloppy main track. 7-1 Baghdaria was third and 6-5 favorite Indian Vale, who stalked the pace the whole way, failed to fire late and was fourth.
