2008 Kentucky Oaks Undercard Results

A field of eight 3-year-old fillies contested 1 1/16 miles on the turf in the $150,000 Edgewood Stakes. Zee Zee opened up on the rest of the field soon after the start, getting early fractions of 24.57, 49.89, and 1:14.59. At the top of the stretch, jockey Kent Desormeaux asked her to open up and she did, pulling away to a 3 length advantage in mid stretch. My Baby Baby, who raced in sixth early, closed with a rush but could not catch Zee Zee who finished 1 3/4 lengths ahead, completing the trip in 1:44.73 over the "good" turf course. It was 3 more lengths back to Magger Bags in third.
