Bourbon Balls

These traditional Kentucky candies are great for a Derby party or any special occasion.

Prep Time: 12 hours, 00 minutes

Cook Time: 00 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 4 T. Bourbon
  • 1 large package semi-sweet chocolate chips (real chocolate, not imitation)
  • 1 T. paraffin wax

Preparation:

Cream butter and sugar then add chopped pecans. Mix well and add in the Bourbon. Chill for an hour to make it easier to handle then roll into small balls. Refrigerate overnight.

Melt the chocolate and paraffin in a double boiler until smooth and well mixed. Dip the chilled Bourbon balls into the chocolate and place on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Chill until hard.
