Big Brown was undefeated in 5 starts, including the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, before his debacle in the Belmont Stakes where he was eased. He did come back to win the Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park, but had to be retired shortly afterwards due to a hoof injury. He now stands at stud at Three Chimneys Farm in Kentucky.
