Here is my ongoing look at some of the top contenders for this year's Kentucky Derby on May 5, 2007. There will be lots of changes between now and when the entries are drawn on Wednesday, May 3rd, so check back weekly for updates. All the preps are over now and it is less than two weeks before the big day!
Be sure to click the link on each horse's name to view full info, stats, and a photo where available. Jockey assignments are pretty much up in the air at this point and are based on who rode the horse last. The Experimental Free Handicap was released on January 25, and the dual qualifiers are now noted with a star by their dosage index. Early Triple Crown nominations closed on January 20 and were released on February 4, with late nominations closing on March 26.
