Del Mar Thoroughbred Club is a thoroughbred racetrack near San Diego, CA. It opened on August 12, 1938 and was built by a partnership including Bing Crosby, Pat O'Brien, Jimmy Durante, Charles S. Howard, and Oliver Hardy. The 2009 meeting will be 37 days long from Wednesday, July 22 through Wednesday, September 9. Del Mar is the home of the $1 million Pacific Classic (G1) to be run on September 6, 2009.
