Thursday morning in Dubai, a number of World Cup day entrants galloped before fans and media enjoying the annual "Breakfast with the Stars". Maintenance gallops were the order of the day as no more timed workouts were held. Trainer Todd Pletcher finally arrived on Wednesday night and attended the workouts this morning, as all five of his Cup day entrants were out on the main track. They had mostly been hidden from the public at the training track for the week. As well, the Dubai area experienced rainfall on Thursday, but no more rain is expected for the week, which is good news for organizers and participants who may remember that the 1997 edition had to be delayed when rain rendered the track unsafe for racing.

World Cup entrant Premium Tap went out for a maintenance gallop under exercise rider Jorge Munoz. Trainer John Kimmel said, "He really wanted to do a little more than he was doing. I'm pleased with him. You're not going to get any excuses from my camp."
