One of the most popular fan events Dubai World Cup week is Breakfast with the Stars during the Thursday morning workouts. Racing fans enjoy breakfast out on the apron while watching World Cup day contenders go through their morning gallops on the Nad al Sheba main track and turf course.
World Cup odds-on favorite Curlin walked calmly by the Breakfast with the Stars gathering under exercise rider Carlos Rosas, accompanied by assistant trainer Scott Blasi who rode stable pony Poncho,. He also went to the starting gate for a schooling session, which he had done every Thursday since arriving in Dubai. Blasi said, "He was perfect. He stood and backed out. We just wanted him to be comfortable."
