The world's richest horse race, the $6 million Dubai World Cup (G1) will be contested on Saturday. On Tuesday morning a number of entrants in the main event and the rich undercard took to the track at Nad al Sheba Racecourse in Dubai for some exercise in preparation for the main event.

The star of California racing, Lava Man, will go in the Dubai Duty Free on the turf. The Santa Anita Handicap winner galloped 2 miles on the turf on Tuesday. Leandro Mora, assistant to trainer Doug O'Neill said, "He's a happy camper," said Leandro Mora. Fellow assistant Carlos Pena added, "The turf is excellent. To tell you the truth, he looks better here when he gallops on the grass than he does back home in California."
