Wednesday Godolphin Racing hosted its annual media event for Dubai World Cup week at their Al Quoz Stables where they showcase their top runners, many of which are running Saturday in the Dubai World Cup card. They don't send their horses to Nad al Sheba for the workouts, so this is the only chance to see them before race day.
The facilities at Al Quoz include a series of state-of-the-art stables, extensive exercise rings, an equine swimming pool and a private training track. Most Godolphin horses go to Al Quoz every winter to enjoy the excellent Dubai climate and rest up from the racing season. After spending the winter in Dubai, the Godolphin team transfer at the end of April either to Newmarket or to the U.S. before returning to Dubai the following autumn.
