Older handicap horses contested the $100,000 Skip Away Handicap at 1 1/8 miles
on the main track. Heavy favorite and 2005 Blue Grass Stakes winner Bandini was
sent off at 2-5 and did not disappoint. Shaking off the early challenge of
13-1 shot Whos Crying Now, Bandini led at every call to win by 1 1/4 lengths
over 37-1 shot We Can Seek, getting the distance in 1:49.11. Noble Causeway
was fourth.
