2007 FallStars Weekend at Keeneland

The $500,000 Darley Alcibiades (G1) featured 2-year-old fillies going 1 1/16 miles on the Polytrack. 6-1 Dreaming of Liz set a pace of 24.23 and 49.69 with 27-1 Marakami stalking her in second. After 5/8 Dreaming of Liz tired and dropped back, allowing Morakami to inherit the lead into the stretch getting 3/4 in 1:14.79. However, she tired in the stretch, as 6- 1 Grace Anatomy, who entered the stretch just off the pace, came on to get the lead with a furlong to go. 4-1 second choice Country Star and 5-1 third choice A to the Croft closed with a rush, as Country Star prevailed by a length over A to the Croft in a time of 1:45.85. It was just a neck back to Grace Anatomy in third. 6-5 favorite Irish Smoke bobbled at the start, raced in midpack sixth down the backstretch, but had nothing left for the stretch and finished last.

Winning jockey Rafael Bejarano said, "She broke really good. She was a little excited in the gate but she broke right behind the horses and she was really relaxed. At the 1/2 mile, we started looking for a good spot but I saw that every horse was close together. I stayed right behind the bunch of horses. When we came to the outside, I moved to the outside and we were pretty clear. She just exploded. I know the horse can do that because I´ve ridden her before. She´s a superstar horse."
