The Ollie Figgins trainee improved his record to 7 wins, 2 seconds, and 3 thirds in 16 starts, earning $281,300 for owner Ray M. Pennington III.

11-1 fourth choice Starticus held a short early lead under regular rider Corey Fraser, opened up a 1 length lead into the stretch, but gave way late finishing third beaten 3/4 lengths. The Ralph Biamonte trainee improved his record to 4 wins, 2 seconds, and 2 thirds in 10 starts, earning $246,773 for owner Danny Lococo.
