Winning trainer Neil Drysdale said of the horse's poor performances earlier in the year, "I got off on the wrong foot with the horse. We put blinkers on him and he ran off and that's what is called a trainer's error. So then the next race we put him back on a Polytrack, another trainer error. After that we looked at his form and said, 'Look, this horse loves Canada so let's just take him back to where he belongs,' and that's how it happened."
