Winning jockey Pat Valenzuela said of the performance, I followed Three Valleys through the stretch. I was going to go to his inside, but then he came out, and I went back to the outside around the eighth pole. I whipped my horse a little, and he took off very willingly. Canada's been very, very, good to me."
