Trainer John Ward said, "Dr. Pleasure
is just a little kid running around out there. He's going to get mature
one of these days. He isn't anywhere near to his ability. Still, he was
able to get a piece of it. Bernardini is definitely my choice to be a
champion. He didn't have it his own way. He took on Bluegrass Cat and
put him away - and he said 'Good-bye' to the rest of them." Jockey Cornelio Velasquez added, "My
horse ran good but he is still a little green. He was running hard at
the end, but there was no pace to close into."
