2006 Haskell Invitational Day at Monmouth Park

Juddmonte Farms' Three Valleys provided trainer Bobby Frankel with his second straight victory in the $150,000 Oceanport Stakes (G3) as the 5-2 favorite rallied to score by a neck over 7-2 third choice Hotstufanthensome. Three Valleys, ridden by Ramon Dominguez, raced 1 1/16 miles over the firm course in 1:40.06. Rebel Rebel, the 5-2 second choice, ran third, three lengths behind the top two. Winning jockey Ramon Dominguez said, "My horse had a great trip. I wasn't really worried about the pace up front because I was focused on my horse. When I got to the quarter-pole, I had a ton of horse and I knew it was going to be between my horse and the six (Hotstufanthensome)."
